The basic concept is that stocks and markets logically reflect their underlying economic influences. All manner of economic developments have an impact on companies and their share prices. These effects are neither perfect nor one for one, but, over time and on average, much of the movement in a companies’ share price is the result of the changing economic environment to which that company is exposed.
The ISN service is designed to take some of the emotion, or gut feel, out of this calculation and provide a degree of comfort to the investor, showing how much of the present price is a reflection of the economic fundamentals.
